1 - Keep to the Basics - Have a strategy in mind & simply be frugal. Cut back on your spending & go back to the basics of paying off debt & increase your savings. It is amazing how small simple cuts in the budget make for huge savings.

2 - Prepare for the Unexpected - Prepare for a possible job loss or other financial emergency by tightening the budget now. We recommend that you start directing extra money into a money market account to cover atleast 3-6 months of expenses in case an emergency arises. 

3 - Avoid Creating More Debt - Budgeting & cutting back is hard to do, but running up debts to sustain a lifestyle you can't afford will only make things worse down the road. Try to stay disciplined & just say no to any further debt. You will be glad you did.

Lights at Seven Falls for the Holidays

Nothing to do this holiday? Why not check out the Holiday Lighting at Seven Falls to benefit Chrismas Unlimited. Seven Falls is one of Colorado Springs most visited natural attractions. The waterfalls in the day time are spectacular, but the lights at night at the Falls have been described as one of the most romantic & breathtaking holiday lightings in Colorado Springs. 

All proceeds will benefit Christmas Unlimited. (One of Colorado Springs oldest charities, providing gifts for children of families in need at Christmas and school supplies before school starts each fall.)

The Broadmoor is an upscale, beautiful community located at the base of Cheyenne Mountain. Recent sales in the Broadmoor have followed the Colorado Springs market. The Colorado Springs market has been stabilizing due to the recent return of troops to the military installations in town. Several local companies have also provided great news for the local economy with new jobs over the next several years. Regardless of what you may read in the daily press this is a great time to buy, and quite possibly sell. Interest rates, while fluctuating, are still at record lows. The real question is, with these interest rates are you in the home you really want? There has never been a better time to move up. The softening of the market has created a number of opportunities for the astute buyer. True, prices have been leveling out and in some areas declining slightly, but not dramatically.
